Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Seampoint LLC (“Seampoint,” “we,” “our”) operates the website at seampoint.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit our Site and when a Workbench checks our distribution channel for updates.

2. Information We Collect

Contact form submissions. If you contact us through the Site, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and message content.

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site. GA4 collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, referring URLs, approximate geographic location (city-level), device type, and browser type. GA4 uses first-party cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically collects standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and access timestamps for security and reliability purposes. Cloudflare’s data practices are governed by their own privacy policy.

Workbench update checks. When a Workbench Home checks for a kernel update on our public distribution channel (for example by fetching /getworkbench/manifest.json during “what’s on my plate” or a kernel-update play), the request may include low-sensitivity query parameters:

  • wb: the installed Workbench kernel version
  • host: a coarse agent-host identifier (for example cursor or claude-code), when known

We do not send your name, email address, Workbench folder paths, plate contents, project notes, or a unique Home identifier in these requests. Standard Cloudflare request logs for that fetch may still include IP address, user agent, and timestamp, as with other Site traffic.

These parameters are omitted when the version or host cannot be determined. No update-check request is made when update checks are muted, the Home uses a non-Seampoint distribution channel, or the session is offline / airgapped.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form
  • Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the Site
  • Understand aggregate Workbench channel activity, such as which kernel versions and hosts are still checking for updates. We report this as the number of Homes that checked the channel, which is not a precise count of monthly active users

We do not use your information for advertising, remarketing, or profiling.

4. Cookies

The Site uses first-party cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These cookies do not identify you personally.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The Site will continue to function without them; analytics data will be less accurate.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare Pages: Hosting and content delivery. Data is processed in Cloudflare’s global network.
  • Google Analytics 4: Website analytics. Data is processed by Google under their data processing terms.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of our correspondence. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings (14 months). Cloudflare request logs for Site and Workbench update-check traffic are retained according to Cloudflare’s log retention for our account.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.

8. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to know: You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect.
  • Right to delete: You may request deletion of your personal information.
  • No sale of data: We do not sell your personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
  • Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us through our contact page.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
